Authorities say a court commissioner for Milwaukee County underreported her income for two years to avoid paying taxes, TaxLawHome.com reports.
According to the site:
Geneva McKinley, a court commissioner for Milwaukee County, allegedly reported income of less than $20,000 in 2006 and 2007, according to a report. During 2006, she made $35,630 and approximately $101,000 in 2007.
Overall, she is accused of evading nearly $9,000 in both state and federal income taxes, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. She allegedly received more than $13,000 in refunds during this time as well.
